Turning a lack focus into an abundance focus helps you feel more empowered and prosperous, which will encourage actions that support that perception. You’ll find yourself feeling more appreciative and grateful for the wonderful things you already have, and you’ll also be more open to lucrative opportunities in all areas of your life.
Visualization works best if you do it on a regular basis, because consistent reinforcement of your inner beliefs and outer perceptions is needed if you want to make lasting changes. You may also find it helpful if you can perform your visualization exercises at the same time each day, whether first thing in the morning, or before you retire for the evening, or even during your morning coffee break.
In order to attract prosperity through visualization, there are several things you should focus on. First, be sure to imagine yourself having lots of money! See yourself paying your bills easily each month, saving for a rainy day, donating money to charity, and having plenty left over for recreational activities! Put as much detail as you can into these images, including how you look, what you’re wearing, the specifics of your home and job, or even the car you drive.
These details are more important than you might think! If you don’t include enough detail in the images in your mind, you’ll feel detached and nonchalant about them – which means you won’t be engaging your emotions and your subconscious mind won’t be as receptive to them. Your emotions are very powerful when it comes to the effectiveness of visualization, so be sure to place the proper emphasis on them. How would you feel if you had plenty of money? Calm, content, happy, fulfilled, free? Whatever emotions you would feel in such a reality, be sure to bring up those feelings during your visualization exercises!
Then, of course, it’s equally important to be sure you’re not acting in ways that contradict all the great energy you generated during the visualizations! In other words, be sure you don’t obsess about not having enough money or feel stressed about paying your bills. When you do this, you are shifting right back into a focus on lack, rather than abundance!
Finally, be sure to remain open to the many ways that abundance can come into your life, rather than focusing solely on one possibility. For example, don’t pin all your hopes on winning a lottery jackpot or sweepstakes, because you’ll block other opportunities. Instead, affirm daily that you are open to all the abundance and joy that is rightfully yours – no matter how it comes into your life.
